Avoid wearing your jewellery in the shower, while swimming, sweating or washing your hands; or while applying make-up or hair-dye.
Wipe your jewellery with a lint-free cloth when you take it off. Then, store your jewellery in an appropriate jewellery box/case.
Different metals require different cleaners. Use specific cleaners made for Silver, Gold and Costume Jewellery.
Pieces rubbing against others can wear the finish off quickly. Be mindful of rings touching, and use a necklace clasp when possible.
Jewellery care can seem like a pain and an extra step, but you have to be dedicated to make your piece of splendour and luxury last.
